Grandparent’s hands

a poem I wrote when I was senior in high school about my grandparents
My grandparent’s hands
Are old
Yet young
My grandparent’s hands
Are firm
Yet soft
My grandparent’s hands
Are hardworking
Yet know when to have a good time.
My grandparent hands
Are fifty-two years of marriage
Yet still act like newly weds
My grandparent’s hands
Are one son, one daughter
Yet four grandchildren.
My grandparent’s hands
Are cooking and cleaning,
Yet drinking and relaxing.
My grandparent’s hands
Are love, faith and hope
Yet tenderness and kindness.
My grandparent’s hands
Are full of love
Yet they love all of us the most
